The Choir's weekly live half hour broadcast Music and the Spoken Word is the nation's longest-running network program, having run continuously since 1929. The broadcast takes place every Sunday morning at 9:30 a.m. in the Tabernacle on Temple Square. Those wishing to attend should plan to be in their seats by 9:15 a.m.

In June, July, August, and December, the broadcasts are held across the street in the Conference Center, which can accomodate the larger summer and Christmas season crowds. Broadcasts are also held in the Conference Center during LDS semiannual General Conferences, which take place on the first Sunday of October and April. Admission on these two Sundays is only available to Conference ticketholders.

The Mormon Tabernacle Choir rehearses every Thursday evening in the Tabernacle. Unless otherwise noted below, the rehearsals are open to the public. Doors are opened at 8:00 pm and the rehearsal concludes at 9:30.

Organ recitals are given daily on Temple Square by the Tabernacle organists and by specially invited guest organists. The recitals begin at 12:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday (2:00 p.m. on Sundays). From Memorial Day through Labor Day, recitals begin at 12:00 p.m. and at 2:00 p.m. (Sundays at 2:00 p.m. only).

The summer 2 p.m. recitals take place in the Conference Center (Monday through Saturday; Sunday is in the Tabernacle) and feature the same program as the 12 p.m. Tabernacle recital, making it possible to contrast these two magnificent organs.
